Demolition Complete: A New Chapter
The original Lucas Village units have been carefully deconstructed. The site is ready for what comes next.
As of December 2025, the demolition phase of the Lucas Village redevelopment is complete. The 92 original public housing units - duplexes, townhouses, and apartments that served the Frederick community for decades - have been carefully deconstructed.
What's Next
With the site cleared, the team is focused on finalizing entitlements and permits and coordinating financing to begin construction in Fall of 2026.
